RAUB: GiatMara has offered to check and restore electrical wiring without costs, at the homes of flood victims.
Its chairman, Datuk Shahiruddin Ab Moin, said GiatMara had the manpower and skill among its electrical engineering trainees.
"Flood victims can contact GiatMara directly or through their headman, village development and security committee chairman or village chief," he said when met by reporters after launching the 'GiatMara with Residents' programme in Dong near here today.
Shahiruddin, who is also the area's state representative, said it was important to check the wiring for safety. "Last year, GiatMara restored the electrical wiring of more than 200
affected residences in Kedah and Perlis for free," he said. -- Bernama
