MELAKA: Some 10,000 job opportunities especially for school leavers will be on offer at the MARA 2012 Education Carnival Tour this year.
Deputy director-general of MARA, Abd Rahim Abd Ghani said the carnival focussed on the specialisation of students in selecting the suitable field of interest as a career.
"The difference this year is that we are organising a career exhibition in the carnival following the strong demand by the people as we only held our career carnival at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) prior to this and most
visitors were from the surrounding areas of Kuala Lumpur," he told reporters after launching the carnival at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC) here today.
Apart from Melaka, the carnival will also be held at four locations namely Kuala Lumpur, Pahang, Terengganu and Perak.
At the two-day Melaka MARA Education Carnival, some 2,500 jobs opportunities were offered to visitors with 500 of them involving engineering and the balance in management and technical fields. -- BERNAMA
