IT was a hectic schedule for Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir as he attended 12 back-to-back programmes during his working visit to the Tronoh constituency recently.
He started his visit by having breakfast with local residents at Arked Mara in Batu Gajah.
He also spent some 10 minutes chatting with a senior citizen Putih Saripah Abdullah, 86.
After checking a project to build the roof for a basketball court in town, Dr Zambry visited Kampung Baru Bemban where he presented an approval letter from Yayasan Bina Upaya to build a new home for bachelor Fong Kam Hoon, 54.
During a kenduri rakyat at Kampung Melayu Bali at noon, Dr Zambry spent time to attend a birthday cake-cutting ceremony for Nurul Ainan Md Rashid, five, at one of the villager’s house.
He later rushed to Kampar to visit the flood victims placed at SMK Kampar school hall.
Dr Zambry resumed his programmes for the day by visiting three schools in Tronoh.
The three schools received a shot in the arm as Dr Zambry approved the much needed financial assistance for them.
Dr Zambry approved an allocation of RM30,000 to SJK (T) Tronoh for a ‘reading corner’ and to buy air-conditioned units, RM10,000 to the Kelab Guru of SK Tronoh to carry out its activities and RM30,000 to SJK (C) Chun Sun to build new toilets for its teachers and students during his visit last Thursday.
He later visited Kampung Nalla and Siputeh nearby before ending his programme by visiting a basketball site at SJK (C) Gunung Hijau in Pusing.
